Good
morning everyone!! What a beautiful morning it is here in the piney
woods of north east Texas!! Would you believe that it is 65 this
morning? In August? Sitting here in the garden drinking my coffee
watching the cows march in to the pasture in front of the house to get
the treats boy are they loud with the mooing this morning lol The
hummingbirds are especially active this morning I just love watching
them hit the flowers on the rose of sharon then the feeders then going
to the catapala tree to sit in and rest, with the stupid rooster lol
crowing constantly and we can't forget the ducks that have realised
someone is up, and the horses are snorting and stomping their hoofs to
let us know they have joined in the morning sounds of our farm. I
love this life!! So much to do today I have alot of canning to do, I
need to bake bread, take pictures of the items for our online catalog,And that's just a start no telling what else maybe added to my to do list today. I
will be adding more pictures today when I get the chance or maybe I
should say if I get the chance...LOL I hope everyone has a great day!!!

This blog is for canning and cooking and simple living
I cann everything that I get my hands on, and everything we grow on our farm.
I will share my recipes, tips that I have learned over my lifetime.
I will graciously accept any and all comments but please be respectful to all here. Everyone has different ways of canning, some go strictly by the USDA guide lines and others are more adventurous But the main thing is to cann safely!
Canning is a great way to preserve food to eat thru out the year and really saves money on your grocery bill! It's not hard to learn and the whole family can get in on it,Kids love doing it! It is a way to get any of your picky eaters to try new things because they helped to make it!
